Pizza Week In Review For June 7th, 2015

hands holding a sign with text

This week’s review is running a bit late due to my crazy travels.  Here’s what happened on Pizza in Motion last week:

There’s a new Grand Hyatt getting ready to open just South of Cancun in Playa del Carmen.  Here’s some pictures as the property prepares to open.  ETA:  The property pinged me on Twitter and referenced some Tweets in their thread with more up-to-date pics.

If you haven’t had a delayed flight, you will.  It’s just reality.  Here are some tips on how to avoid the worst of it.

Free same-day delivery from Amazon is friggin awesome!

Looking for affordable luxury using your hotel points?  Here’s my review of the Equinox Resort in Vermont.

American Airlines is launching service from LAX to Mexico City.  Plus, more info on that uncomfortable soda can issue.

We knew Starwood was going to have a lukewarm summer promotion where you could earn 1,000 points for a 2+ night stay that included a weekend.  While that wasn’t terribly motivating, they surprised us with an announcement that you’ll be able to earn free weekend nights at Sheraton based on your summer paid stays.

On the heels of that announcement, Hyatt came out with their summer promotion as well (hint: it looks familiar).

Speaking of Starwood and Hyatt, if you’re having trouble finding award rooms at SPG properties, this trick should help.

If you’re in Denver and looking for really good Asian food, read my review here.

Aer Lingus wants to grow in Asia, Starwood wants to make the Sheraton brand relevant again, and duct tape really can fix everything.

Frontier is setting records for how many seats can fit on a plane while Lufthansa is trying to break the conventional mold of how most people book airline tickets.

I leave you with a pretty compelling picture of a place I want to go hang out for some shade.
