Haus des Merres: Aqua Terra Zoo, Vienna

The Haus des Merres is a great activity for families with kids in Vienna. It would be easy to get lost in here for a full day and forget about all the other great places that Vienna has to offer. The zoo is contained in a re-purposed military facility from World War 2. I doubt there are too many facilities from that time that have been put to better use.

Riding The U-Bahn Subway in Vienna

I prefer to ride trains/subways when I travel. It’s generally a great way to avoid traffic. It can be more affordable than Uber or taxis. And, it gives me a feel for the city that I don’t get when I’m riding around in a car.
