American Airlines Joins The Big Hawaii Sale From New York, Philly & Boston

Earlier this morning I posted about United’s fare sale to Honolulu that was attacking some American Airlines and Delta hubs with fares as low as $395.  I wondered aloud if American or Delta would join in on the fun.  I was spending time with some cousins from New York today and said I wasn’t sure if American or Delta would attack United in NY since they both have a significant presence there.

Well, American has jumped in with fares around $600 from New York, Philly, Washington DC and Boston to Honolulu.

The fares are valid from late August until mid-December for departures Monday through Thursday.
