The Best of the Rest is my effort to summarize all the travel stories that interested me on a daily basis. I don’t have time to write about them in length, but picked some of the best below. It’s a shortcut to find out what’s going on without reading dozens of travel blogs to get the best info. This highlight includes Mother’s Day Deals and Disney’s Bourbon Trail.
Daily Getaways are right around the corner and they’ve released the first 3 weeks of offers. If you’re unfamiliar, Daily Getaways are a curated set of travel deals sponsored by the US Travel Association. Probably the biggest early news is that there is no 10% discount for paying with an American Express card. The best example I can give for the impact on this are the Hyatt Gold Passport packages. Jeff Zidell, the VP of Hyatt Gold Passport, is one of my favorite people in the industry. He was gracious enough to hop on with Milepoint members back in our first year of existence back in 2011. And, he’s back again. On Tuesday, August 20th at 9pm Eastern, Milepoint will be hosting Jeff Zidell again for a live chat. And, […]
If you’re one of those folks who likes to use miles and points for your vacations, Vegas has always been something of, well, a desert without any water.
