American Airlines has canceled thousands of flights in the past week, stranding customers at airports across the country because of a meltdown in their regional jet operation. Most of the disruptions are for flights arriving or departing Charlotte.
Fare sales like this don’t come along often. Lots and lots of cities available. If you’re thinking of booking, it might be worth taking advantage of the ability to cancel within 24 hours while you think about it.
Frontier Airlines has been having a ton of fare sales lately. Some of these occurred over the busy summer travel season and represented great values. ETA: I put a few of these on hold and even though they show a Business Saver award, the cabin says “Economy”. Beware before ticketing. Not sure how this will work out. The Daily Getaway deal for Monday, June 2nd is from Omni Hotels & Resorts. While Omni does have a loyalty program, they’ve chosen to sell actual hotel nights as opposed to points. That makes for both some really good and really risky deals.
