Cheap Flights To Hawaii! Hawaii Is On Sale Again

Hawaii isn’t generally a discount destination.  Flights typically run $700 round-trip or more for flights with decent times.  And yet, we’ve seen a whole bunch of flights under $500 lately.  Today is no exception.

United is offering $434 round-trip fares from Dallas and Phoenix to multiple destinations in Hawaii:

  • Kona
  • Kauai
  • Honolulu
  • Maui

There are some late summer dates as well as dates later in the fall.

If you can’t get to Dallas or Phoenix, there’s also a $534 fare from Miami, Philadelphia and Charlotte to various islands.  These fares are valid on dates through early December.

The Final Two Pennies

I can only imagine that with the recent announcement about cities Southwest plans to spin up for Hawaii service, we’re bound to see some lower prices in the future as well.  We could be looking at cheap prices to Hawaii for quite a few months.

If you’re looking to find ways to use frequent flier miles to get you to Hawaii, you’re in luck!  I just recorded a podcast episode with my friend (and travel pro) Spencer that gives you some great strategies.

Keep in mind that these fares allow you to cancel within 24 hours of booking.  If you’re on the fence, you’re probably better off booking the flight you want and sleeping on it rather than waiting to book.  These fares continue to pop up from time to time, but they don’t last.

  1. Love me some Hawaii. Is that picture from the Pihea trail on Kauai? What a great hike!

  2. Enjoying your new podcast Ed. If you do go to Hawaii soon make sure that you visit Kauai. Maui is great as well, Oahu was nice but nothing like the other two islands. I am hoping to make it to the big island next year.

      1. I already did. I was trying to help them with the companion pass so I recommend that episode along with the podcast.
