The Lufthansa Premier Miles & More World MasterCard® Q:  I’m not a member of the Lufthansa Miles & More program.  Why do I want this card? A:  There are a few reasons, but the bottom line is Lufthansa is a member of the Star Alliance which means these points can be used for flights on any Star Alliance carrier. US Airways Offering 250 Bonus Miles For Every Time You Book With Their Credit Card

The US Airways World MasterCard isn’t a primary card for me, but it does occupy a spot in my wallet.  I applied for the card because of its generous sign-up bonus but don’t use it for everyday purchases (or my infrequent US Airways travel, for that matter).  It appears that US Airways and their card issuer Barclay are trying to change that.  They’re offering 250 bonus miles for every flight you book using their credit card through the end of October:     The current sign-up bonus for the card isn’t as […]

An Update To Citibank’s Current American Airlines Credit Card Offers

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about some changes to the credit card offers being shown on American Airlines’ website.  It wasn’t great news, the sign-up bonus on the MasterCard looked like it was dropping from 40,000 miles to 30,000 miles. Shortly thereafter, I was connecting in DFW and came across yet another offer to throw into the mix. So, it appears the best place to apply for the Citibank American Airlines card right now is actually at the airport.  5,000 extra miles, and you probably even get one […]

Citi Platinum Select/AAdvantage World MasterCard Sign-Up Bonus Dropping to 30,000 Miles?

Now that I’ve switched the majority of travel back to American Airlines I’m spending a lot more time on the AA website.  Over the past few weeks I’ve noted the 40,000 mile sign-up offers for the Citi Platinum Select/AAdvantage World MasterCard in the margin alongside the booking engine, along with a $125 statement credit: Someone asked me recently if the card was worth it.  I didn’t recall seeing the $125 statement credit until recently, so I went to check out all the benefits so I could render my opinion.  You […]

My Citi Executive Card AA 10,000 EQMs Posted

When AA and Citi came out with the new Citi Executive/AAdvantage Card last year, I jumped on it.  I don’t think the card is a great fit for my everyday spend.  But since I knew I wanted to try and hold onto 1K AND Executive Platinum this year, spending $40K on this card meant I’d have 10K less EQMs to earn flying with my butt in an airline seat.  The card carries a pretty steep fee ($450) but if you need the EQMs I think it’s worth it. I got […]
