Alaska Airlines is spinning up 3 new routes right after their merger with Virgin America is complete.

Chew on this for a bit.  It was a bit surprising to see United making the better impression versus JetBlue to this blogger.  His logic is sound.  It’d be great to see airlines make more intuitive decisions when situations like this happens.  Like he says, what JetBlue did wasn’t necessarily wrong.  But, was there a better decision?

An unfortunate incident recently involving a doctor not being able to help an ill passenger has lead to a change in Delta’s policy.  I’m still unclear whether race played an issue in the initial incident.  But, if it leads to a better way to matching doctors with ill passengers in the future, the result is a positive one.
