Policy changes out of nowhere, flight delays, crabby employees, surprise upgrades. Life on the road is never quite as glamorous as people might think. But, it can be better than expected.

Marriott has changed course and announced that they will offer higher lifetime status to Starwood Preferred Guest lifetime Platinum members who hit a certain night threshold by the end of 2018.
