QUICK! Purchase Hyatt Points At The Cheapest Price Today

Today’s Daily Getaways deal may not be the absolute best (the 20% Marriott gift card discount probably was) but it may be my personal favorite.  Hyatt is offering a big discount on buying points.  Hyatt is my go-to hotel chain, much more so than Marriott these days.  And, this discount is about 40% cheaper than the deepest discounts I generally see Hyatt offer when they sell points from their website.

There are 4 packages that go on sale at 1pm EDT today.

The packages are all right around 1.1 cents per point.  The 40,000 point package is technically cheapest by a small fraction.  The best current sale on Hyatt points right now is roughly 1.7 cents per point.

You can only purchase one of each package, and there just aren’t a ton of packages.

The Final Two Pennies

I’m still not a fan of buying point speculatively.  However, the larger packages of 40,000 and 72,000 points may be enough to plan a long weekend or short vacation all on their own.  For occasional and frequent travelers, the recent partnership with Hyatt and American Airlines where you can earn additional Hyatt points for flights, picking up a bunch of points from the Daily Getaways sale can turbo charge a vacation plan.

Hyatt has been drastically increasing their footprint, adding hundreds of hotels in the past year through both their Small Luxury Hotels partnership and folding in brands like Thompson and Joie de Vivre along with their new hotel construction.  That means you now have over 1,000 places where you can use World of Hyatt points.

You’ll want to be ready at 1pm ET, or maybe even a minute or two earlier.  If you really want to score one of these packages and don’t grab one right when they go on sale, hang around for a few minutes.  Some other persons misfortune (browser crash, internet glitch) etc may be your good fortune when they can’t complete their transaction.  Be ready early and good luck!

I’ll do my best to send an update on Twitter a few minutes before 1pm ET.
