A Firsthand Look At Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge On Day One

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge may be the most anticipated opening of a theme park addition I’ve ever seen.  I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but my wife and son are.  Every time there’s news about the opening, I’ve shared the pictures and videos with them.  They eagerly devour each tidbit of info.

We knew that our family wouldn’t be there for the opening of Disneyland’s version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.  We’re angling for a late summer trip to Florida to see the land open at Disney World for our chance to check out the fictional planet of Batuu all on our own (with thousands of other crazed fans).  But, my buddy Summer from TPG Family was there on day one.  In fact, she was in the first group of regular people to get a chance to experience Batuu.

Summer was nice enough to catch up with me for 15 minutes to talk about what you can expect if you’re heading to Galaxy’s Edge in the near future.  We decided a podcast was the best way to capture everything, so we released a bonus Miles to Go episode yesterday that is just Summer and I talking all things Star Wars.

My audio feed isn’t the greatest due to some time constraints on catching up with Summer while she was on planet Batuu.  But, her audio sounds great.  Sorry about that!

It’s about 15 minutes long.  If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’re sure to learn a bunch about the new land.  Enjoy!
