Southwest Airlines Hawaii Destinations Announced!
In a statement posted to their website, four new destinations were confirmed as the new Southwest Airlines Hawaii routes. While we knew that routes were in the works, up until now we didn’t know how many or where.
The Four New Southwest Airlines Hawaii Routes
Also shared in the statement:
While we do not yet have details to share on exact dates or routes, they do represent our initial footprints and top priorities for the soonest service in the State of Hawaii.
On the airline’s earnings conference call Thursday, CEO Gary Kelly shared that the airline “still hopes to start flights this year” and that they “have planes reserved for that scenario.”
Kelly continued with: “we’ll start small, with just one route between the West Coast and one destination in Hawaii.” Unfortunately he didn’t disclose the route or the number of flights per day, but Kelly confirmed that they won’t have just a single Hawaii route for long.

Thanks for info but these are destinations and not routes because there are no departure cities provided.
Click bait. Won’t make that mistake again.
C’mon. The news about the destinations has been known for several days. You make a post announcing the routes, and everyone thinks that you are actually posting about routes. Bad clickbait.
Not clickbait, just my mistake. That’s what I get for blogging when I’m exhausted. Apologies.
Agree. I was surprised to see this breaking news here first, but all I learned is this blog doesn’t understand what “route” means.
Honest mistake, folks. Apologies.
This was total clickbait.
Then shouldn’t you also ask Boarding Area to change its 6-hour-old Facebook post that says “routes”?
Brad, I changed my posts but I don’t have immediate control of the BA posts. I did delete the tweets and repost with the correct title.
You call yourself a travel blogger, yet you clearly have no idea what the definition of a route is. Honest mistake my ass. More click bait garbage.
Rob H, yeah, I actually do know what a route is, but thanks for understanding what a mistake is….
