Cheap Flights To The Caribbean, A Decent Fare Sale And Saving Money On Fuel
Here’s what I’m reading about in the world of miles and points:
Cheap Flights of the Day:
Frontier has a pretty decent sale going on right now, mostly because the fares are valid Tuesday through Saturday. That’s usually not the case for them. $49 one-way fares from my home airport of Washington-Dulles to Orlando through February of next year.
JetBlue also has cheap flights to Barbados, $234.
In Case You Missed It:
United Airlines Made Some Significant Changes to Fees For Booking Awards.
Unsurprisingly, I have some strong opinions of those United changes.
Singapore Airlines had a very unique gift for Joseph Schooling’s Olympic Gold medal.
$100 ExxonMobil gift cards for $92.
I talked about the new offer for the Ritz-Carlton Visa card recently. The deal is really interesting for a number of potential cardholders. It’s a Visa Infinite Card, something I didn’t know much about previously. Gary Leff goes deeper into the details, including the fact that there are only a handful of airlines where you can use that $100 discount.
We talk about the joys of international travel for our family, and it almost always sounds glamorous. But, there are frequently bumps and bruises.
A place where you can commit murder and get away with it. You just need to lure your target there…..
Citi has made some noticeable changes to sign-up bonuses. Even for folks just looking to sign up for one card (or deciding which cards to keep), there are some things you need to know. Frequent Miler helps with that.
A bit of inside baseball, but I find it very interesting that American is targeting high-end customers, moving around some of their best domestic planes to cater a very short-term need.

Let me understand. Example for a family of four. You’d book one ticket and get $300 reimbursement. Then, you’d book the next three people and get $100 off as the companion discount on the three indicated airlines? Unless the travel credit and the companion discount happen in conjunction with your first booking.
The travel credit is more for fees like checked bags, etc. You can’t use it for airfare specifically. You can use the $100 discount on two tickets multiple times.
