Wrapping Up Sicily, Salzburg And Vienna

Places are sections of a quilt. We make that quilt bigger the more we travel. Some sections, or squares, have vivid pictures. Others, just an abstract of a long-ago memory. They’re all wonderful. My kids’ happiness won’t necessarily be the size of their quilt, but rather the detail. I can’t wait to add some more squares.

Austrian Airlines Business Class Review, Vienna To Washington-Dulles

This was my first time flying Austrian Airlines but I hope it won’t be my last. I redeemed United Airlines MileagePlus miles for 4 business class seats for our family’s return trip from Europe.

The seats, service and meals all exceeded our expectations. I’ll cover all of these areas in detail along with plenty of pictures. I’m happy to answer any questions about Austrian Airlines’ business class product.

Haus des Merres: Aqua Terra Zoo, Vienna

The Haus des Merres is a great activity for families with kids in Vienna. It would be easy to get lost in here for a full day and forget about all the other great places that Vienna has to offer. The zoo is contained in a re-purposed military facility from World War 2. I doubt there are too many facilities from that time that have been put to better use.

Riding The U-Bahn Subway in Vienna

I prefer to ride trains/subways when I travel. It’s generally a great way to avoid traffic. It can be more affordable than Uber or taxis. And, it gives me a feel for the city that I don’t get when I’m riding around in a car.
