I love this moment by Delta. They used social media to interact with a celebrity, then turned it into an onboard moment that got them even more positive attention. Airlines don’t do this enough. Given, they get their teeth kicked in on a regular basis. Trying to personalize the relationship more with customers is difficult but rewarding.
After having their website shut down by the Chinese government, Marriott is removing banned books from their hotels and self-reporting to the Chinese government. They’re also publicly broadcasting personnel they’ve fired over incidents involving these perceived disrespectful actions.
Marriott Rewards is tweaking an existing program that earns points essentially for free. The new annual point limit may make it worth paying attention to this.
