Save $50 On Your Next Hyatt Place Or Hyatt House Stay
Hyatt has announced another promotion for holders of their co-branded Visa card. Starting today, you can earn a $50 statement credit when you spend at least $300 in total at Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels and charge the stay(s) on your Hyatt Visa.
The key detail here is that you don’t need to spend $300 in one stay, just in total at either Hyatt Place or Hyatt House during the promo period.
The promotion runs from October 2, 2017 until January 1, 2018. You’ll need to register for the promotion before your first stay (and no later than October 31, 2017) to earn credit. Even if you don’t have a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House stay planned, register now. It’s easy to forget these things later on and miss out on a decent rebate.
These sort of promotions have become something of a theme for Hyatt. They recently offered all Hyatt Visa cardholders a $20 discount on a $50 Whole Foods purchase.
And, last year they offered a similar $50 statement credit promo, though this one required $500 in spending at Hyatt Regency properties.
In the past, they’ve also offered points rebates on award bookings to credit cardholders.
The Final Two Pennies
This is a nice promotion for Hyatt credit cardholders. It’s an easy $50 if you already have stays planned. It does leave me wondering if Hyatt is going to announce another promotion this year. Hyatt had already announced their final promotion of 2016 (More Points, More Play) earlier than this last year. SPG has a decent promotion out for the end of 2017. Don’t forget, they also announced targeted promos on top of the global promo. And, depending on the second mystery offer, Marriott might have a decent promo as well.
The only downside here is if you don’t live in the US, since you can’t apply for the Hyatt Visa. With a $75 annual fee and a free night (limited to Category 4 and lower) each year, credits like this $50 offer make the Hyatt Visa a good card to keep in my wallet.
