Today Only: Discounted Hyatt Stays Worldwide
The final deal from Daily Getaways this year is discounted World of Hyatt points packages.
If you’re new to Daily Getaways, think of this as “Vacations For Real People” (or vacations for normal people). It’s no secret that I love showing my family the world. I took my wife and daughter to Paris a few years ago for Valentine’s Day on a long weekend, but we’re just as likely to pile into the car and drive up to HersheyPark. We prefer to travel to places like Italy and Greece to explore the culture, but those trips aren’t accessible to everyone.
Even though I preach the strategy of earning miles to just about everyone I meet (sorry, for those of you tired of hearing me babble on), most folks aren’t trying to fly First Class in an apartment to the Middle East. Or pop over to Sydney for a long weekend. We decided to head down to the Fort Myers area in Florida last year for spring break and were surprised to find at least a dozen of our friends from Virginia had chosen the same destination as us.
Some drove, some flew, none of them stayed at a St. Regis, Ritz or Four Seasons. For that group, which are the normal folks, Daily Getaways can represent a significant value. Not all deals will, but there are still plenty of savings to be had.
Let’s take a look at the final deals:
24,000 World of Hyatt points for $260 (example, 2 nights in a Category 3 hotel)
40,000 World of Hyatt points for $415 (example, 2 nights in a Category 5 hotel)
72,000 World of Hyatt points for $775 (example, 3 nights in a Category 3 Suite)
The final deal of this year’s Daily Getaways is probably one of the best, and not just because of my love for the Hyatt program. Whatever value you put on Hyatt points, buying them for essentially a penny a piece is way below fair value. While I’m still not a fan of buying points just to hold onto them, there are a ton of great places you can redeem them.
Consider two Hyatt properties in Paris, the high-end Vendome and the middle-of-the-road Hyatt Paris Etoile. At a penny per point, you can get a room at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome for $300 a night. Or, the Regency Etoile for $150 a night (that’s based on 30,000 and 15,000 points a night respectively).
Like all the previous Daily Getaways deals, these will go on sale at 1:00 pm EDT today. I would expect them to sell out almost immediately. If you’re interested in purchasing, be ready a few minutes before 1 and hope for a bit of luck.
Happy Hunting!
