Starwood Preferred Guest is discounting a handful of key international resorts for award stays by 35%. These are all “exception” properties that already cost quite a bit of points per night, as much as 60,000 points a night. So, the discounts bring the award price down from stratospheric to tolerable. I haven’t visited any of these properties but they represent some of the best SPG has to offer (and thus, some of the greatest redemptions when they’re discounted).
And, if you’ve never been to the Maldives, how about a free stay?
