Loews Hotel Packages On Sale Today Via Daily Getaways
Today’s Daily Getaways are discounted nights at specific Loews Hotels.
If you’re new to Daily Getaways, think of this as “Vacations For Real People” (or vacations for normal people). It’s no secret that I love showing my family the world. I took my wife and daughter to Paris a few years ago for Valentine’s Day on a long weekend, but we’re just as likely to pile into the car and drive up to HersheyPark. We prefer to travel to places like Italy and Greece to explore the culture, but those trips aren’t accessible to everyone.
Even though I preach the strategy of earning miles to just about everyone I meet (sorry, for those of you tired of hearing me babble on), most folks aren’t trying to fly First Class in an apartment to the Middle East. Or pop over to Sydney for a long weekend. We decided to head down to the Fort Myers area in Florida this year for spring break and were surprised to find at least a dozen of our friends from Virginia had chosen the same destination as us.
Some drove, some flew, none of them stayed at a St. Regis, Ritz or Four Seasons. For that group, which are the normal folks, Daily Getaways can represent a significant value. Not all deals will, but there are still plenty of savings to be had. Here’s what Loews is offering:
2 Nights In A Suite At Loews Regency New York For $1,000:
The rates at this property for a normal room are frequently at or above $500 when I look at availability. You’re essentially getting the suite upgrade for free along with a potential discount on standard room pricing. Manhattan hotel rooms can be pricey, but there are certainly cheaper rooms to be had at nice properties in the city. You’ll also want to be careful of this little tidbit in the T&C:
Hotel reserves the right to restrict this offer for certain days, weeks, or seasons without notice
The certificate for 2 consecutive nights is valid from June 1, 2016 until June 30, 2017. Unless they tell you otherwise. 😉
2 Nights In A Bridge to Bridge Suite At Loews San Francisco For $1,300:
The Bridge to Bridge Suite looks pretty darn nice.
I checked a handful of random weekends and the suite normally goes for $1100-$1200 a night, though I saw it as high as $1700 and I do see some suite specials they offer (though none I could find on Bridge to Bridge specifically when I looked). That means it’s a good deal, and a pricey one at the same time. Same disclaimer here about the hotel being able to change the restrictions without notice, so beware.
2 Nights At The Following Hotels For $325:
Loews Miami Beach Resort,* Miami Beach, FL
Loews Don Cesar Resort,* St. Pete Beach, FL
Loews Royal Pacific Resort* at Universal Orlando®
Loews Coronado Bay Resort,* Coronado Bay, CA
While I haven’t stayed at any of these properties, they’re all located in places I’d consider visiting. Coronado is a great getaway. And, across the board, $325 for 2 nights represents a pretty good bargain at these properties. Again, buyer beware that the property has the right to restrict availability.
2 Nights At The Following Hotels For $275:
Loews Annapolis Hotel, Annapolis, MD
Loews Atlanta Hotel, Atlanta, GA
Loews Boston Hotel Hotel, Boston, MA
The New Loews Chicago Hotel, Chicago, IL
Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel, Rosemont, IL
Loews Hollywood Hotel, Hollywood, CA
Loews Madison Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Loews Minneapolis Hotel, Minneapolis, MN
Loews New Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, LA
Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Philadelphia, PA
Loews Regency Hotel, New York, NY
Loews Santa Monica Hotel, Santa Monica, CA
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, Nashville, TN
Loews Ventana Canyon, Tucson, AZ
Loews Hotel Vogue, Montreal, Canada
Considering the Loews Regency in New York is regularly $400-$500 a night, this is a phenomenal deal. You’ll find cheaper rates at some of these hotels, but at $275 for two nights, you can find plenty of savings on this offer. There’s only 16 available, so I expect them to go quickly. And, like the other offers, they carry that ambiguous ability for the hotel to restrict redemption.
Ocean View Suite At Loews Miami Beach For 2 Nights For $1,000:
NOTE: This hotel is under renovation until January. Certificate only valid January to June, 2017
Given that tidbit of info, I’d just stay away from this. I was having a hard time pulling up suite pricing for 2017. I see regular rooms in the $400-$700 a night range, so this could be a deal. But, not sure I’d be willing to take that risk.
Ocean View Suite At Loews Santa Monica For 2 Nights For $950:
This is about the price of a regular room, whereas the Ocean View Suites run about $700 a night on the weekends I checked. You’re essentially getting the upgrade for free. But, this still has the caveat where the hotel can restrict availability without notice.
Bottom Line It For Me, Ed
There are definitely some good deals here. The $275 and $325 packages could work out as screaming good deals. I wouldn’t personally pay $1,000 for 2 nights in a Loews suite. That’s what I have hotel points for. But, I can see the value there for some.
There are still some earlier deals available if you missed them:
Wyndham Rewards $150 hotel nights (though it’s possible this scare reported by Mommy Points could be the cause)
