Cheap Flights To The Caribbean And Details on AA Basic Economy “Last Class” Emerge
Here’s what I’m reading about today in the world of miles and points:
Cheap Flight of the Day: JetBlue is having a decent fare sale with a bunch of $49 one-way fares. Cancun for $225 and decent “mileage run” fares between New York and LAX.
In Case You Missed It: We climbed the stairs at the Eiffel Tower and lived to tell the tale. It actually wasn’t that bad.
Today is the last day to enter my giveaway for a free weekend at a great hotel in San Francisco.
I retweeted earlier today the rumor that American was launching service between Los Angeles and Hong Kong. It’s official, and the flight times have been announced as well. All I can say about that outbound flight time is….ick.
This wasn’t a huge surprise, but American Airlines’ basic economy fares won’t allow for domestic upgrades. More on this one in a future post.

Not sure how I missed it, but the American Airlines arrival lounge at Heathrow is closed for renovations. Don’t worry, you can use the BA lounge in T5. Just leave yourself a 3-day layover to get over there by bus.
