Hyatt Has A New Promo For Las Vegas Hotel Stays
Hyatt has a new hotel promotion out that can earn you bonus points in Las Vegas through the end of September, 2015. You can register here.
You can earn up to 1,500 bonus points after every 3rd night during the promotion period, which runs until September 30, 2015.
Hyatt’s partnership with MGM Resorts/M Life makes earning points in Las Vegas much easier than it used to be, especially at properties you actually want to stay at. If you’re wondering what these properties are like, you can follow along my series of posts that I’m desperately trying to complete on all the M Life properties.
This is a nice bonus, and I believe it stacks with the current summer promotion (I’ve reached out to Hyatt for confirmation). ETA: I reached out to Hyatt and this does NOT stack with the summer promo. That makes it tough to leverage for any real value.
However, it’s important to note in the T&C that these stays need to be booked through a Hyatt channel. That’s important because M Life can sometimes have cheaper rates when booking directly, especially if you have elite status with Hyatt which translates into elite status with M Life (more on that in a future post).
Hey ed… Just tried booking a hyatt place with points and they are saying a high floor room is an upgrade… Confused. All hyatt places are no more than 5 floors.. On hold with supervisor now.. Is this another way they are using stuff to their advantage
Richie, that’s crazy. Did they work it out? If not, try hanging up and calling back. Let me know how you make out.
Thanks for writing back Ed…I talked with a supervisor who said she will do one of the 2 nights on points (8000 per night was not available because the room was on a high floor) ..(no points and cash available). the other is night is on a florida resident rate. I told her I just could not understand how a High floor is an upgrade for hyatt place where the 5th or 6th floor is the highest…She said it was an upgraded room type because its on a high floor…I almost fell out of my chair.( 2 DOUBLE BEDS) I have stayed there before and all the rooms are alike…seems like if you go from the 4th to 5th floor its an upgrade now?…this is the hyatt place universal studios. hope this is not a trend system wide
