Today’s Daily Getaways are discounted Universal Studios Hollywood “Front of the Line” tickets.

If you’re new to Daily Getaways, think of this as “Vacations For Real People” (or vacations for normal people). It’s no secret that I love showing my family the world. I took my wife and daughter to Paris a few years ago for Valentine’s Day on a long weekend, but we’re just as likely to pile into the car and drive up to HersheyPark. We prefer to travel to places like Italy and Greece to explore the culture, but those trips aren’t accessible to everyone.

Even though I preach the strategy of earning miles to just about everyone I meet (sorry, for those of you tired of hearing me babble on), most folks aren’t trying to fly First Class in an apartment to the Middle East. Or pop over to Sydney for a long weekend. We decided to head down to the Fort Myers area in Florida last year for spring break and were surprised to find at least a dozen of our friends from Virginia had chosen the same destination as us.

Some drove, some flew, none of them stayed at a St. Regis, Ritz or Four Seasons. For that group, which are the normal folks, Daily Getaways can represent a significant value. Not all deals will, but there are still plenty of savings to be had.

Today’s Daily Getaways deals are discounted Universal Studios Hollywood “Front of the Line” Tickets.

First things first.  These are tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood, not Orlando.

I get at least one person a year who says they bought tickets for the wrong park.  If you do want Universal Studios Hollywood tickets, there is a Daily Getaway on May 1st for a few different packages.

These front of the line tickets offer you quicker access to many of the rides and attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood.  At a price of $139, that’s a bit more than a standard park ticket (generally about $110 for a one-day pass).  Front of the Line tickets vary in price from $179 to $254, based on the day.  Most of the $254 days are blacked out, so be wary of that.

The blackout dates are as follows:

 7/1/17 – 8/12/17, 12/23/17 – 12/31/17 and 1/1/18 – 1/3/18

If you’re thinking about heading to Universal Studios Hollywood, this represents a pretty healthy discount off the list price for a front of the line ticket.  There’s only 250 of these available.  With a max of 9 per per customer, I expect these to go really quickly.

So, be ready a few minutes before 1pm EDT.  I’ll do my best to send an update on Twitter.

Happy Hunting!
