AA Buys Boeing Dreamliners

I’ve been a lifelong AA flier, accruing almost 2 million lifetime miles. So, when I got an e-mail from AA a couple of days ago saying they had secured a bunch of options on the Boeing 787-9, I was elated.

First, the Dreamliner has theoretically been “sold out” until 2014. But AA has had a long-standing, cozy relationship with Boeing. Seems like they’ll start getting some in 2012, assuming things smooth out in the industry.

AA has a bunch of 737s on the way, which will hopefully reduce the number of Mad Dogs on the roster. So, here’s hoping I’m flying all Boeing craft five years from now.
