Hyatt Promo Spring 2024: Earn Up To 28,000 Bonus Points
Hyatt has announced a promotion that covers the spring of 2024. They’re using the title “Bonus Journeys”, which they’ve used in the past. It covers a similar structure they’ve used in the past.
Hyatt Bonus Journeys Promo Spring 2024
You need to register for Bonus Journeys and you can (and should) do so now.
Bonus Journeys gives members the chance to earn up to 28,000 bonus points total. You’ll earn 3,000 bonus points for every three qualifying nights. You can earn that bonus up to seven times, for a total of 21,000.
You need to register by April 15, 2024 and stay between March 1st and April 30th, 2024.
Folks who hold either of the two Hyatt credit cards can earn an additional 1,000 bonus points for every three nights as long as those nights are at one of over 500 participating hotels. Note: that list of properties is wholly outside of the United States.
A few key points:
- As I mentioned, registration is required. Do it now so you don’t forget. Plans change and you’d hate to miss out on bonus points later on.
- While you need to complete your stays during the promotion period, existing bookings you made prior to the promotion period (that occur during March and April) will count towards this promotion.
- Award nights do count as eligible nights for this promotion.
The Final Two Pennies
Hyatt has announced a new promotion that gives members the chance to earn up to 28,000 bonus points this spring. It’s a reasonably strong promotion, but it’s a bit softer than Hyatt’s promo last spring. Nate from our private Slack community pointed out that last year the Hyatt promo was more rewarding. That doesn’t surprise me too much. Travel demand seems to be slowing, but mostly in the back half of 2024.
The disappointing part of this promotion is the 1,000 bonus points for folks who hold a Hyatt credit card. Hyatt has done an admirable job over the years in truly rewarding their credit card holders. However, excluding all US properties from the promotion excludes so many people. There are a few dozen hotels in Latin America that could be spring break targets for some folks. But, end of the day it’s going to be really hard for most people to get extra value out of those 1,000 bonus points.
Bottom line, road warriors should be able to earn some bonus points in March and April. Since there are so many great properties that cost fewer than 20,000 points per night (and you can use free night awards to earn bonus points) a handful of stays can jump start your next vacation.
