A Sneak Peek At The New American Airlines Cole Haan Amenity Kits (They’re Pretty Nice!) And A Giveaway!

a group of black and red bags

American Airlines reached out to me recently to see if I’d want to take a look at their new amenity kits.  I’m super nerdy about things like that and was happy to have a peek!  These aren’t the first Cole Haan kits they’ve done.  The previous set was pretty cool, but It think I like the style of these even more.

Here’s A Sneak Peek:

Flagship First International

a close up of a bag

This is probably my favorite of the kits.  It has a bit more structure to it but it’s still compact enough to fit in any of my bags easily.  The kit contains:

  • A C.O. Bigelow Travel Kit with facial moisturizer, lotion, lip balm and a refreshing wipe
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Socks
  • A multipurpose pen that doubles as a screen cleaner
  • Eye mask and earplugs
  • Tissues
  • Shoe shine pack
  • $100 off Cole Haan and 20% off C.O. Bigelow coupon
  • $100 Casper bedding (not surprising given the new Casper partnership)

Business Class International

a bag with a variety of items on it

There are two versions of this kit.  One is a shoe bag, the other is a tote bag.  I think I like the shoe bag with the drawstring a bit better.  Both have the same contents:

  • A C.O. Bigelow Travel Kit with lotion, lip balm and mouthwash
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Socks
  • A pen
  • Eye mask and earplugs
  • Tissues
  • $100 off Cole Haan and 20% off C.O. Bigelow coupon
  • $100 Casper bedding (not surprising given the new Casper partnership)

Flagship First Transcontinental

a bag with items on it

  • A C.O. Bigelow Travel Kit with lotion, lip balm and a refreshing wipe
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Socks
  • Eye mask and earplugs
  • Tissues
  • Screen cleaning cloth
  • Stain removing cloth
  • $100 off Cole Haan and 20% off C.O. Bigelow coupon
  • $100 Casper bedding (not surprising given the new Casper partnership)

The Final Two Pennies

really like the new kits.  The only thing….I wish there was an American Airlines logo on them, alongside Cole Haan.  I know, I know.  I’m a travel nerd.  I like that they mixed up the contents of the kits.  They have some of the same core elements.  But, there are also some cool items I haven’t seen in amenity kits before.  Can’t wait to snag one of these on a flight!

I almost forgot…..

If you like the kits, leave a comment on the post.  I’ll pick some random winners next weekend, so you have until Friday, April 20th to leave a comment if you want to win one.

Have you seen the new amenity kits yet?

  1. Some of the old Cole Haan AA kits are my favorite but having the airline logo should be automatic. Marketing 101. I also like kits that include mouthwash but I know that complicates onward security screening. Thanks for sharing the review.

    1. Dan, I randomly picked you as one of the winners of the kits. If you want me to ship you one, shoot me your address at ed -at- pizzainmotion dot com. Thanks for following my blog!

  2. Just flew AA int’l F and got the old amenity kit…was hoping for the new one. So the new Int’l F kit…is that a white cardboard piece inside giving it “structure” as you put it?

      1. Cool… Cardboard is probably there to keep it from going flat (squashed) in storage/transit. It would be cool to win any of them…

        1. Atif, I randomly picked you as one of the winners of the kits. If you want me to ship you one, shoot me your address at ed -at- pizzainmotion dot com. Thanks for following my blog!

  3. I agree..wish the logo was there. I would be interested in winning one. I have only flown domestic first class so haven’t received a kit before.

  4. I enjoy these kits. I always have a couple of bags ready to go with all the basics in, one for a long trip and one for just a couple of days. Sometimes my wife and I leave on very short notice on a whim.

  5. I like when the airlines introduce new kits. The shoe bag style is a nice addition to the square shape that most airlines have right now.

  6. I usually fly domestic so I don’t ever see these. I would love a kit. Thx for all your great info and advice.

  7. I’m personally more of a fan of the older style (love the two-tone colours they used on those kits), but I do like the new contents of the kits. Shoe-shine wipes in first are a great idea – hopefully they can roll those out to int’l J as well in the future!

  8. Ed,

I have a AA flight bcn-Ord in J and ord-lax in domestic first. Is the ord-lax route considered Flagship First Transcon is is that designation only reserved for SFO/LAX-JFK with the lie flat seats?

  9. Can I get one of the cole Haan codes? I actually need to make a big purchase from their and would love a coupon.

  10. Question, how comfortable are the eye masks and do they keep the light out? For awhile my favorite was the Tumi ones from Delta, but I’ve been using my Cathay one lately.

  11. Flying AA international biz from DFW to HKG in November! Wonder if it will be one of these kits still

  12. Thank you for posting this! I got the cole haan kit and my wife wanted to use the coupon but of course I left that on the plane and only took the stuff I needed. Any ideas on how I can get my hands on another one of those coupons so she doesn’t kill me!? I’m not sure the next time I’ll be in Flagship Biz
