Cheap Europe Fares Continue, $25 Amazon Discount And A New Disneyland Hotel
Here’s what I’m reading about today in the world of travel:
Cheap Flights of the Day: There are Still Tickets For Less Than $500 to head to Europe! Bulgaria is $350!
In Case You Missed It: The Letter I Never Thought I’d Get From Southwest
American Airlines Rolling Out A Bunch of Changes
Earning Starwood Preferred Guest Lifetime Platinum Status
You might still be able to find award seats to New Zealand this morning! New Zealand in business class represents one of the toughest awards to find.
Alaska Airlines is changing to a revenue-based program. Oh, wait. No, they’re not. Yup, it’s definitely one of those two.
As oneworld dumps a popular policy to protect travel disruptions, American says they won’t. Still, this change sucks. You used to be able to book two separate tickets on oneworld carriers and be protected on all your flights if any of them were delayed. You also used to be able to check your bags through to their final destination, no matter which oneworld carriers you were flying. I don’t mind the checked bag thing so much since I rarely check a bag. But, the protection thing was valuable. It really sucks it’s going away.
Did you check to see if you’re eligible for a $25 Amazon discount?
Disneyland is adding a 4th hotel. They don’t have enough rooms on property now, though there are chain hotels not far away. I do wonder if this will be a DVC property, since it’s very difficult to redeem your DVC points at Disneyland.
If you’re into eBay, you may want to think about this strategy. I don’t spend much time on eBay, but Miles to Memories really knows his stuff about these areas.
