Crazy Cheap Flights To Europe Again on Wow Air

Wow Air, the discount carrier based in Iceland, is hitting East Coast customers with another fare sale. And, availability is actually pretty decent.
I spent some time poking around on their website and found decent availability to Paris and Copenhagen, where pretty much every Sunday in February and most in April had 2 seats for $149 one-way from BWI (Washington, DC). For returns, I found CPH had better availability, mostly at $179.
There also are a bunch of dates where you’ll find $99 one-way flights to Iceland, though there’s a bit less available for return flights.
You need to keep in mind that Wow Air is happy to charge you fees, so plan accordingly for checked bag, carry-on bag and seat assignment fees when budgeting for your trip.
The last time these sales popped up the fares didn’t last long, so if you’re thinking about it don’t wait!
I think any article on WOW Air low fares needs to include the actual prices for carry-on and checked bags and seats since these fees are higher than any other carrier I know about. You can only carry on 5kg/11lb for free, so very few travelers can travel to Europe in winter with that little weight.
