I keep meaning to post this from a couple of weeks ago. I’ve always wondered if the energy deals the airlines sometimes offer (to switch your electric provider) are scams. Apparently, they are.
Uber loses money on every ride. I don’t think they can actually scale enough to reduce their costs. Sure, driver and customer acquisition should taper off, but they’re going to need to build revenue or reduce costs through methods other than just growth, methinks.
Las Vegas casinos are moving to start charging for self-parking. Maybe I’m just missing the parking issue, but I’ve generally viewed paid parking as a supply and demand sort of equation. And, even during peak events like CES, I never have a problem finding parking at places like Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Cosmopolitan, Aria, etc. This fee sucks.
