Last Day! Free Flights To the Caribbean! United 2-Million Miler Banned
The Best of the Rest is my effort to summarize all the travel/miles & points stories that interested me on a daily basis but didn’t have time to write about in length. Culled from over 100 blogs/authors I follow, some are passed along without comment, while I add my analysis to others. This is your shortcut to find out what’s going on in the travel world without having to read dozens of travel blogs to get all the best info.
Here’s what I’m reading about today:
Cheap Flights of The Day: The Alaska sales never really materialized this year, but cheap tickets to Panama are back. We enjoyed a trip there a couple of years ago.
InsideFlyer Thread of the Day: Just a few hours left to win free flights to the Caribbean. We’re giving away 60 free airline tickets to the Caribbean on Norwegian’s inaugural flights.
American Airlines makes it official, they’ll be keeping a 787-8 Dreamliner on the DFW-SCL (Santiago de Chile) route.
A crazy story of a 2-million mile Global Services United customer who got banned by the airline.
Not quite sure how I missed this, but Magic of Miles tells us that Sheraton hotels will have free MLB TV starting next year. As a diehard Yankees fan, that’s good news for me!
On the subject of other things I missed was Chris McGinnis’ Travel Skills blog telling us about the extension of Global Entry to Australia.
Make sure to apply for the Donald Trump Signature Visa Credit Card!
Chris is wrong about Global Entry in Australia. Anyone over 16 with an ePassport from one of the approved countries can use the SmartGates, regardless of whether they’re in Global Entry or not.
