DEAL! Business Class To Brazil From $475 Roundtrip!

It’s been a while now since I covered a deal fare.  That’s due to the pandemic.  Even when some folks started traveling, I just didn’t have the wanderlust back yet.  While I’m still getting my groove back our family has started thinking about travel again in a meaningful way.  So, when I woke up this morning to a travel deal, it actually felt right to write about it.  I was excited, energized in a way I haven’t been for a while.  But, enough about me, let’s talk about the deal!

Cheap Business Class Flights to Brazil

View From The Wing covers a fare that’s as cheap as $475 roundtrip for business class flights to Brazil.  That’s an unbelievable deal, one that I really haven’t seen prior to the pandemic.  The difference here is that the dates available seem to stretch through the end of 2021.  With vaccine rollout in full swing I think it’s finally safe to start assuming that travel will be safe and “normal” by the end of the year.

Note: these fares are non-refundable

Fares from New York area airports are all right around the $500 range all-in:

Meanwhile, I tried searching other city pairs.  This is what Philadelphia looks like in the fall:

Washington-National (DCA) this summer:

DCA in the fall, essentially no availability:

The Final Two Pennies

As I’ve always preached with deals like this, keep in mind that these aren’t “New York to Brazil” fares.  This is a fare from the US to South America.  You can probably find some pretty cheap flights to one of the airports in the US with the cheapest fares.  And, Gary notes in his article that there are cheap flights in Brazil to get elsewhere.

You should definitely take into account the potential complications of booking nonrefundable travel right now.  I wouldn’t feel safe booking a trip for May or June today.  It’s unclear whether I’ll have a vaccine by then.  And, I still think there could be significant limitations on travel over the next few months. I’ve had three trips booked to Brazil over the past 10 years, only to cancel all three for various reasons.  That’s why this one has caught my eye this morning.  New York isn’t difficult for me to get to, nor Philadelphia.  Both are an easy Amtrak ride.  If I was thinking about trying to qualify for Executive Platinum status this year, a few of these Brazil fares would definitely be a great head start!
