Win A $250 Hotel Booking Credit And Free 30-Day Memberships!
Most people have a favorite booking site for their hotel reservations. For me, I generally start with the website for the chain I’m booking with, and then double-check rates at other booking engines. Lots of folks prefer some of the larger online travel agencies (OTAs) like Expedia or Orbitz to see a bunch of prices in one place.
You may recall me introducing Club 1 Hotels to my readers last year. It’s a different model than we normally see, as you need to be a member of their site to book a hotel room. Because of that, they’re actually able to offer rates below what other booking channels can offer. My personal experience is that I’ve found big savings on higher end hotels, whereas savings were negligible on cheaper hotels.
Membership Options
There are 4 membership options to consider:
- Free 30-day membership. There’s no credit card required to try the site for 30 days. That means absolutely no strings to give it a try. And, signing up for the 30-day membership automatically enters you into a drawing for $250 in free hotel credit plus a 1-year membership at Club 1 Hotels.
- $65 annual membership. This comes with a $25 discount on a $250 booking or a $50 discount on a $500 booking as well as a $30 Luggagefree.com credit.
- $149 annual membership. You’ll receive 4,000 United Airlines Mileage Plus miles (I’d value these at about $70-$75) as well as the same $25 and $50 credits. You also earn 2 Mileage Plus miles for each dollar spent with Club 1. It also comes with free Shoprunner membership and the LuggageFree credit.
- $295 annual membeship. You’ll receive 10,000 United Airlines Mileage Plus miles (I’d value these at about $160-$175) as well as the same benefits as the $149 package.
If you’re not a slave to one hotel loyalty program, there’s the potential for value with Club 1, without a lot of financial risk.
The Final Two Pennies
There’s no risk here. It’s a free offer to try Club 1 Hotels for 30 days and a chance to win a nice prize. If you have any upcoming trips planned, it’s worth signing up.

Oopsie. Thanks, Joseph!
I have not found the rates on Club 1 compared to other sites, especially when you add on their booking fee. I am surprised that you are promoting it.
Robin, I have found cheaper rates. The booking fee generally makes it harder to save money at cheaper hotels. However, in cities like New York, I consistently find cheaper rates on Club 1.
