Double Starpoints On Meetings and Catering Events
Earning lots of Starpoints is difficult to do. Other than the double Starpoint promo for small business purchases going on right now, their credit card doesn’t have any bonus categories.
If you’ve got a meeting or catering event coming up (no matter the size), you might want to consider booking it at a Starwood property to earn double SPG Pro points.
If you’re not familiar with SPG Pro, it’s a way to earn more points when you book meetings at an SPG hotel, though it’s not going to make you rich with Starpoints.
You normally earn 1 Starpoint for every $3 in revenue. During this promo which runs through the end of February, 2017 you’ll earn 2 Starpoints for every $3 in revenue.
Along with being able to earn bonus Starpoints at Marriott hotels now, this is a nice added bonus if you have a meeting coming up.
You’ll need to register for the promo which should only take you 30 seconds.
Like most things in life, there are Terms & Conditions:
If a member of the Starwood Preferred Guest® program (an “SPG® Member”) registers for this promotion and books an eligible catering event at a Participating Property between September 1, 2016, and February 28, 2017, which has an arrival date between September 1, 2016, and February 28, 2017 (“Promotion Period”), and has a maximum of nine (9) eligible guest rooms booked on the peak night (“Eligible Event”), the SPG Member will earn 1 bonus Starpoint for every US$3 of eligible charges if he or she satisfies the terms and conditions of this promotion. The bonus Starpoints® will be posted 2–4 weeks after the Eligible Event is held and paid for, and Eligible Events benefits are posted by the hotel to the member’s account.Eligible Charges: The Customer will receive double Starpoints on the total guest room, meeting room rental, and actualized food and beverage charges associated with the signed contract (“Eligible Event Agreement”).Renting out a Food & Beverage outlet without an Eligible Event Agreement will not count toward this promotion.”Peak Night” is defined as the contracted block date with the highest number of actualized guest rooms.Participating Properties: 10 SPG-participating brands including St. Regis®, The Luxury Collection®, W®, Le Méridien®, Westin®, Sheraton®, Tribute Portfolio™, Aloft®, Element℠, Four Points® are participating in the promotion. The SPG member must register at spg.com/toasttwice by February 28, 2017, 11:59 p.m. ET to qualify for the SPG Pro Toast Twice promotion. Elite bonuses count separately and are not doubled.)
The SPG Member must provide his or her SPG Member number in the Eligible Event Agreement or to the applicable Participating Property at the time of booking.
Bonus Starpoints earned under this promotion will be posted to the SPG Membe’s account within 2–4 weeks of the SPG-participating hotel’s posting of the base Starpoints.
