Cheap Flights To Central America, Free Lingerie (!) and $75 Off A Hotel Booking

More later, but I aborted my insanely crazy mileage run today, instead heading home to take care of a sick wife.  Here’s what I’m reading about in the world of miles and points:

Cheap Flight of the Day: Southwest is having their spring sale.  The fares are pretty darn good for some markets, and you can trim an extra 10% off using gift cards.  Via a Mommy Points retweet, Southwest Airlines $100 gift card on sale for $90.

There are also flights to Panama from a handful of US cities for less than $300.  I just got back from a night in Panama and spent a week there a couple of years back.  Well worth the canals, though the mosquitos can be bothersome.  You can also redeem United miles to connect on Copa to a bunch of places in the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Reminder that you need to book award rooms at SPG hotels that are moving up in category by Monday.

While we’re on the subject of reminders, you’ve got until Monday to redeem any Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond suite upgrade awards that you received for 2015.  After the end of February, the policy changes and these suite upgrades won’t be able to be redeemed for stays past the end of the elite year they were issued in.
