Good Deals This Week On SPG Hot Escapes
I’ve been keeping an eye on SPG Hot Escapes the last few weeks, looking for a few properties I’m hoping to book later this year. I have a few trips booked on Starpoints already, so I’m running low. When I checked this week, there were some good deals around the world I thought it was worth mentioning.
For those not familiar, SPG Hot Escapes are deals Starwood releases at 6am EST each week. They’re deals that are available for the next 6 weeks and usually represent a pretty decent discount of normal paid rates. It’s a bit like a flea market, folks will find different treasures valuable to them. Deals I like this week:
Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain: $121 (it may be the end of ski season, but Beaver Creek is a beautiful destination.
St. Regis Monarch Beach: $329
Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort: $189
Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers: $118
Westin Verasa Napa: $199
Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa: $199
Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa: $127
Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa: $402
Westin Europa & Regina, Venice: $301
St. Regis, Florence: $238
W Retreat & Spa-Vieques Island: $240
A few of these are on my radar for future trips. Napa, Maldives, and Vieques Island are high on my list. Venice is a frequent haunt of ours, though we’ve usually patronized the Danieli (also an SPG property).
These are good deals if you can take advantage of the dates. These deals only last a couple of days, so make sure to jump on the ones you like!

I am heading to Florence this May 1 & 2, would be better to book with cash or redeem with points for at either of the Starwood property?
Did you check to see if the Hot Escapes offer is valid for your dates? Also, if there’s Cash & Points availability at the properties? As a general rule, I value Starpoints around 2 cents a piece. That means if a room costs you $300 a night, it’s worth 15,000 points a night (15,000 x .02). Cash & Points can give you a better value than cash OR points in a number of cases, hence the reason it’s worth researching. Hope that helps answer your question.
Thanks! I have checked and the dates do not apply. Have never used SPG points so this is interesting to me. Will check the points and cash out.
6AM EST, what day in the week ???
Anne, every Wednesday.
