Free Silver Starbucks Card Or….?

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.  But, nobody is ever going to accuse me of being on the cutting edge of fashion or having a great sense of what the cool kids are doing. I had been contemplating some sort of end of the year giveaway to say thanks to all of my readers.  I was offered a Sterling Silver Starbucks card, which apparently are kinda hard to come by.  It was the last one, so I impulse bought it.  Some folks are selling them on eBay already for more than the purchase price and getting bids. Silver Starbucks card I asked a good friend his opinion and he wasn’t sure whether it would be something my readers would think was cool or not.  My wife liked the idea, but I think that’s just because the word “coffee” was included.  🙂 That leaves you.  I figured when all else fails, just let you decide.  I thought that since the cards seem to be getting reasonable interest on eBay, I could sell it there and turn the proceeds into a gift card giveaway on my blog.  So, here are the choices for my giveaway: 1.  Sterling Silver Starbucks Gift Card.  It comes with $50 in free coffee and is actually made of Sterling Silver, so has a retail value of $150. 2.  Roughly $200 (more if this hunk of metal sells for a higher amount on eBay) in Amazon/Starbucks, etc gift cards.  I would likely divide it up into a few different prizes. Just leave a comment telling me which one you’d rather win.  Whichever option gets the most votes will be the prize.  You can comment as often as you like until Friday, December 5th, 2014.  We’ll start the giveaway after that.  Anyone who takes the time to weigh in here will receive an extra entry into the giveaway next week for each day you comment.  No, commenting 7 million times here will not increase your chances of winning. So, what’s it gonna be?

  11. I’d have to choose the Starbucks ‘card’ – saw one in San Diego and almost bought it . It would make a great key fob and help me find my keys a little faster when they are hunkered down at the bottom of my bag. Besides- it’s pretty cool! 😉

  68. I would love the sterling silver Starbucks card. My mom and I are both Starbucks junkies and I think it would make a nice gift for her this holiday season, especially because we don’t get to spend as much time together! Call me impractical, but I doubt you could get another one of these in the near future.

  109. I’m on the fence… I ilke Starbucks, but this seems like a gimmick. I also like actual money, which could lead to Starbucks *AND* something else.

    So I’d go with door #2 I suppose. 🙂
