Toomer Leaving Giants?

The Daily News is reporting that Amani Toomer is leaving the Giants.

This comes as something of a surprise. I was honestly surprised he wasn’t getting more catches down the stretch, but I chalked it up to defenses scheming on him in the absence of Burress. It seemed the young guys were getting the catches. There was no real way for me to know they weren’t calling pays for him.

Now, maybe they were calling plays for him and he wasn’t getting open. Hard to say.

What is apparent is that we’re losing a Giants legend.
