Paris, Abbreviated. Lufthansa New Business Class, Upstairs On The 747-8i
This is a bit of a long post, due mostly to a bunch of pictures. I thought about splitting out the lounge information into a separate post but there’s not a whole lot of information from our brief visits, mostly just pictures. While 2 days is a short time in Paris (for that matter, most destinations) we left with one more mini-adventure for our return flight, a ride on the new Boeing 747-8i (Intercontinental).

Starwood Preferred Guest Announces Their Summer Promo, Earn Away, Get Away.
Starwood has announced their summer 2014 promo, entitled “Earn Away, Get Away.” It’s essentially double Starpoints unless you can include a Sunday night stay to bump it up to triple points. On par, it’s about as valuable as the previous promo “Bring on the Nights”.

Our visit to the Eiffel Tower was a brief one. We made the mistake of not booking tickets far enough in advance. You can buy tickets online weeks or months in advance, something I would highly recommend.

Review: Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile
Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile is newly renovated and poised to surprise those who have stayed there before or not at all. The lobby area is especially inviting, with a sushi bar, iMacs for guest use, a library and a bar. The rooms are very functional and very nicely appointed.

The Park Hyatt Place Vendome in Paris is a spectacular property. The staff are exceedingly welcoming. The rooms are impeccable. The junior suite we stayed in was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve seen.

A quick review of Hyatt Place Austin Downtown. Hyatt Place is my favorite limited service brand. This hotel is well located, clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly warm and inviting during my entire visit.
