WOW! 10,000 Mile Round-Trip Flights To New Zealand
Uh, wow! If this one interests you, I wouldn’t wait to book. I’m seeing a handful of dates where you can book 5,000 mile one-way flights on American Airlines from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand.
These are Economy Web Specials, so you need to select that option on the far right. Dates already look like they’re disappearing. Keep in mind that Economy Web Specials can’t be changed or cancelled once ticketed.
If this fare appeals to you, don’t think of it as LAX-AKL. Think of it as flying from the US to New Zealand (or Australia for a cheap, short additional flight) for next to nothing. Can’t imagine we’ll ever see a cheaper price.

What a crazy deal. Thanks Ed for pointing this out. Booked LAX SYD for 10K AA points and ~$110 in taxes. Even booked bulkhead aisle seats at no extra charge. Hope this sticks!

When I tried booking at 0400 on October 29, the deal was gone. At least I got in on the Delta JFK/LHR deal last week for 18,000 miles R/T redemption.
Dhammer, that’s a solid LHR deal. These AKL fares were gone in 90 mins, as you can imagine.
How did you guys get notified so early about this? When I looked, they all were gone.
