Following Up On Our Crazy Disney World “Ride All The Rides” Challenge For Charity Day!

a castle with people in front of it

Wow!  What a crazy day.  A quick recap if you’re just tuning in.  My friend Summer (Mommy Points) and I decided to join forces to raise money for an incredible charity, Give Kids The World.  They help provide critically ill children a chance to create unbelievable memories with their families on vacation.  Summer and I are both family-oriented.  And, we both love Disney.  So, supporting a charity that supports both of these things was an easy decision for us.

We attempted our crazy run this past Wednesday.  I intend to recap the day in a separate post, but you can see some of the details on my Twitter feed.

For those scoring at home who pledged per ride, we completed 41 of the 48 rides.

We’re so thankful for all the people who supported the effort with pledges to Give Kids The World.  I see so many names on that list of people who I know.  It’s very humbling to know that so many of my friends chose to support this effort.

If you made a pledge, you may have already heard from Give Kids The World on how to finalize your donation.  If you haven’t, here’s the link to our donation page.

As it stands, we’re already over $5,000 in donations.  The number increased almost $1,000 just in the time it took me to type this post!

I keep coming back to two words.  Thank you.  Watching the pledges come in from new and old friends alike was so rewarding.  Watching those pledges turn into actual donations to make childhood memories is…..amazing.

So, thank you.  From the bottom of my heart.  For so many kids that can use a really good reason to smile.
