Hyatt Brings Back One Of My Favorite Promos, Rebates On Award Bookings!

Hyatt is bringing back one of my favorite promotions!  In the past, Hyatt has offered a rebate on award bookings to customers that hold their co-branded credit card.  They’ve generally done this in the summer time, and they’re doing it again in 2018.

Starting August 1, 2018, Hyatt will offer a 10% rebate of any points redeemed for a variety of different booking types:

• Award Reservations
• Points + Cash Reservations
• Room Upgrades
• Dining & Spa Services

You do need to register for the promotion.  Do that now so you don’t forget, even if you don’t have an award reservation coming up.  You’d hate to miss to on free points.

The promotion runs from August 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018.

Big Point: Existing bookings count for this promotion.  You won’t need to rebook any existing vacations you already have planned in this time period.

The Final Two Pennies

I love, love, love this promotion.  It’s one of my favorite promotions each year.  It’s not the most lucrative.  But, it’s easy.  And, it shows that Hyatt and Chase want to treat cardmembers well.  When you calculate the value of holding the Hyatt credit card (which got much more valuable recently) it’s worth thinking about how many points you might save with a promotion like this.
