I Got Invited To A Free Party At St. Regis Deer Valley. And, I Missed Out On It!
A lot of e-mail hits my inbox on a daily basis. I’d like to say I do a decent job performing triage on it, but I don’t. I recall seeing an e-mail slide by a few days ago that mentioned something to do with the St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. It hung around in the back of my head for a day or two until I had a free moment to track it down. Wow, sounds like a pretty cool offer:
Of course, when I clicked on the link a couple of days later, it was already sold out. From the T&C, these look like free tickets:
This offer is non-transferable, non-refundable and good only for The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express Card Members. Limit two (2) tickets per Card Member. Click here to register and obtain tickets for the event. Ticket(s) are not for resale. Offer based on first come, first served with limited space available or while supplies last. Travel to and from the event is the responsibility of the Card Member and guests. Registration includes entrance to the event and those items specifically listed in this invitation. Registration will remain open until full. Card Members must show their Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express at check-in. A government issued ID is acceptable as an alternative should the Card be lost.
Bummer. This seems like a cool event. No guarantees I could have attended, but would have been fun to try.
I’ve always thought SPG did a great job with their SPG Moments. Heck, I cashed in a bunch of Starpoints so my wife could have a tennis lesson with Andre Agassi. This one seems to be just for SPG American Express cardholders. That’s a card I’ve held in my wallet for longer than I can remember (and longer than I’ve been married, IIRC). I sure hope these sorts of experiences don’t go away with the Marriott merger. I’m not holding my breath just yet.
Did anyone manage to snag tickets to this?
