Free Entry To National Parks This Saturday, September 26th
This Saturday is one of the last days of the year where you can access any National Park for free. The National Park Service designated 9 days this year where there was no cost to enter any national park.
There are 127 parks that charge an entry fee, and all will be waiving entry fees this Saturday, National Public Lands Day. I thought the list of national parks was much smaller, and did find lists here and there around the internet that denote 58 main parks. But, the NPS website lists over 400, lots of which I’ve never heard of.
Of the list of 58, there are a bunch I haven’t hit. But, I’ve crossed off a few good ones:
- Acadia
- Bryce
- Everglades
- Grand Canyon
- Redwood
- Shenandoah
- Yosemite
- Zion
How many have you been to?
