SPG Bonus Promo For AMEX Cardholders
Starwood Preferred Guest has a new promo for the month of August where you can earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints when you stay two nights on a paid rate at any SPG property, as long as you hold one of their co-branded American Express cards.
This is a super easy 1,000 points since these night can be ones you already have planned and booked. The nice thing about this SPG Bonus promo is it stacks with both of their existing promos:

I just wrote about the SPG Business AMEX card a few weeks ago and why I think it’s such a great value. No referral links, so no dog in this hunt, but I’ve already saved over $500 through OPEN benefits from spending each of my employees have done so far this year. The addition of the complimentary access to the Sheraton Club lounge is a plus for those customers who don’t have elite status with Starwood Preferred Guest. This is actually a good example for my company. I have SPG Platinum status but my employees don’t. It’s not 100% clear from reading the T&C, but I gather that if they used the SPG AMEX to book their room on an eligible rate they would get club access.
Even if you don’t have two nights booked right now, be sure to register for the promo now. It’s free and you don’t want to miss out on 1,000 point in case your plans change.
How about if the Sheraton property does not have club lounge (like Luxury Collection Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok), do SPG Business card holders get some comped benefits instead?
