Dear Catherine
You jumped off a diving board into a pool for the first time today. I was 2000 miles away when it happened. My father missed some of my achievements as well, both good and bad. That doesn’t make it right, just a pattern. I’m sure those moment stay with him, as these do with me.
Your mother does an incredible job keeping you balanced, and making me feel like I’m right there with you, experiencing these great moments through your eyes.
Watching your child discover something is a moment to treasure. Not one to be missed. My sincerest hope is that my daughter never feels like she missed something because I wasn’t there to share it with her.
