GeekyPizza 3! DC Area Travel Meetup Tuesday, October 25th
It’s time to get together and talk travel again. This is one of my absolute favorite things to do (next to spending time with my family)!
Don’t get me wrong. I love answering e-mails from readers. LOVE it. I really enjoy helping folks with their travel because I usually learn along the way. But, I like to brainstorm, something that’s harder to do via e-mail. And, I’m Italian, so I talk with my hands (something else quite difficult to do while typing an e-mail). That’s why I enjoy picking up the phone or sitting down with someone to just have a good old-fashioned conversation.
This time, my partner in crime Jeanne from Le Chic Geek and I will be hanging out at Dino’s Grotto in Shaw. Well, at least I’m told it’s Shaw. From the days when I worked in DC, we called that Capitol Hill.
You need to pre-register since there’s a chance we might run out of space considering our turnout at the last event.
Our last happy hour in Crystal City saw close to 100 people join the party!
This is a great time for newbies and experts alike to come ask questions and/or trade strategies. You’re only a newbie if you don’t ask questions, so come out and learn some more about our crazy obsession hobby.
Bonus Promotion
In the theme of airlines and hotels offering something just a little extra for your loyalty, I’m offering up two bonus promotions for this Happy Hour:
- If you’ve been to one of the previous happy hours, Tweet me, Instagram me (is that the right terminology? I’m so friggin old) or tag me on Facebook with a picture from one of the happy hours. If you’re one of the first 5 folks to do so, I’ll buy your first drink.
- If you’ve got a sticker from an airline (any airline), I’m collecting some for a friend (and my kids). I’ll be giving away free drinks to the first 5 folks who bring an airline sticker for me.
Somehow, Jeanne keeps getting me to willingly agree to happy hours further and further away from my house, but we’re going to try to rectify that with the next one. Until then, I really hope you’ll join us for our next travel meetup. It’s a smaller venue, so we might actually fill it up completely with frequent travelers!
I’ll be there. Will you?
