Amex Offers: Save Money In Vegas And At Marriott
If you hold an American Express card, chances are you’re eligible for a bunch of offers from American Express. If you login to your account online and scroll down a bit, you should see a box labeled “Amex Offers & Benefits:
You’ll see offers tailored to your specific American Express cards loaded here. Click “View All” to see what’s available. Currently, there are a few really good travel deals.
Save on MGM And Caesars Las Vegas Stays
You might not be targeted for all of these offers, but they were listed on all of my American Express cards (4 total).
Save $100 On MGM Resorts Stays In Las Vegas
This offer requires a spend of $500 and covers the higher end MGM resorts, such as NoMad, Mirage, Mandalay Bay and Delano.
Save $50 On MGM Resorts
This offer requires $250 in spending and covers lower end properties like New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur as well as some out-of-town properties.
Save $40 at Caesars Las Vegas Resorts
This offer requires $200 in spending to get $40 in savings. It includes a whole slew of Caesars properties such as Caesars Palace, Bally’s, NOBU, Paris Las Vegas, LINQ, Planet Hollywood and Rio.
These offers all seem to state the credit is for room rates and room charges. That means if you stay overnight and eat in one of the hotel restaurants you should receive the credit. That also should include pretty much any restaurant across MGM or Caesars properties. For example, if you were staying at Mandalay Bay but charged dinner at Tender (in Luxor) to your Mandalay room, I believe that should count towards the spending requirement.
Save $60 On a Marriott Stay
Doctor of Credit notes this offer, requiring $300 in spending. I wasn’t able to add it to my card, but it’s certainly worth trying.
The Final Two Pennies
Amex offers are a great, easy way to cover the annual fee of the various American Express cards. And, if you monitor them frequently, you can earn so much more than your annual fee in statement credits. If I succeed in adding the Marriott offer to my card, I should be able to use all 4 of these before they expire, saving a total of $200.
