Save 25% On Disney World Tickets This Fall And Sleep In!

The dizzying array of ticket options at Disney World is getting a new entrant.  While this does add to the complicated list of choices, it’s also a solid option to save 25% on your Disney World tickets this fall.  Disney World isn’t known for discounting tickets with a lot of flexibility.  However, if you’re open to sleeping in during your Disney World vacation (or hitting the pool, golf course or Disney Springs) you might just be in luck.

Mid-Day Magic

Disney World announced Mid-Day Magic tickets that are available every day from now until December 15, 2019.  As the name might suggest, you can’t enter the parks prior to 12 noon on any given day.  But, in exchange for missing a few hours in the morning you’ll save roughly 25% on a 2, 3 or 4-day park ticket.  The other drawback is a 30-day FastPass selection window instead of 60 days.  For some of the most popular rides like Avatar Flight of Passage and Slinky Dog Dash, grabbing a FastPass at 60 days is almost essential.  For now, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in Galaxy’s Edge does not have a FastPass option, though park access may be restricted at times due to capacity.

You can only visit one park per day, though they do have a Park Hopper add-on option.  I don’t think the Park Hopper option makes a ton of sense, especially since you’ll be starting the day later and have less time to transfer to another park.

Here’s a chart that outlines the pricing:

There’s plenty more details including daily pricing on the Disney website.

The Final Two Pennies

If you’re a family with younger children, this may not be the best option for you.  For everyone else, this represents a solid way to save.  The parks rarely open before 9am, so you’re generally missing just a few hours per day by starting at 12pm.  This represents a great value for folks looking to attend the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.  I’ve seen plenty of folks eating and drinking their way around EPCOT during festival times.  I doubt most of them are getting up early the next day!

The bottom line here is a decent chunk of savings if you’re willing to be a bit flexible on your timing.  That’s a win for me.
