Want To Sleep Over At The Super Bowl? In The Stadium? Now You Can!
I’m a sucker for cool experiences you can use your miles and points for. A number of years ago, I was able to redeem Starpoints from the Starwood Preferred Guest program (may she rest in peace) so my wife could enjoy a tennis lesson with Andre Agassi. It was the single best use of points I’ve ever had. My wife and I also enjoyed a Billy Joel concert last year at Wrigley Field, courtesy of Starpoints. Last year, one of my friends redeemed Marriott Rewards points to earn private strategy sessions for his fantasy football team with NFL guru Adam Schefter.
Marriott Ups Their Game With A Sleepover
Some people may not see the value in redeeming points for an experience. I thoroughly support each of us assigning our own values to such things. It’s perfectly fine to travel the world with your points. We do that as well. There’s just something special about a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially one you can’t buy.
Marriott is constructing a hotel room on the field of the Super Bowl this year in Atlanta, and you can win a night there. What’s included? Here’s how the listing reads:
Super Bowl Sunday just got sweeter. Kick off this bucket-list weekend with roundtrip business class flights for you and a guest to Atlanta. Arrive in style as your personal car and driver pick you up from the airport to chauffeur you around for the entire weekend. Then, prepare for the big game with the greatest Sleepover you’ve ever been invited to – at the Super Bowl LIII Stadium. A field-level suite will be transformed into the ultimate Courtyard guest room where you and a guest will take in the unbelievable views before anyone arrives and wake up to the Falcons stadium field out your window on Super Bowl morning. Who knows, you may even meet some of your favorite NFL players along the way. And you’re just getting started. This moment also includes access to the suite during the game alongside fellow Rewards members to take in the thrill of it all as two teams vie to become the Super Bowl LIII Champion. Touchdown!
Experience includes:
- One night stay in a king bed at the Super Bowl LIII stadium in a field-level suite transformed into a Courtyard guest room (February 2, 2019)
- Field Level Suite Tickets in stadium seats to Super Bowl LIII (February 3, 2019)
- Visit from an NFL Legend
- Two-night stay in one hotel room at a Marriott property (Friday February 1 and Sunday, February 3, 2019)
- Round trip business class flights*
- Private car and chauffeur for the weekend
- Experience is for two people
The Final Two Pennies
The current bid on this package is just over 200,000 Marriott Rewards points. That’s not a bad price, but I’d expect this to go for a whole lot more. Since my beloved NY Giants don’t appear to be headed to Atlanta, I won’t be bidding on this. But, I sure hope to see pictures from the winner.
Marriott has a number of other NFL-related packages available on their website right now. But, the sleepover at the Super Bowl takes the cake for me.
Will you be bidding on the Super Bowl sleepover?
