American Airlines Blew Up Their Headquarters. Really.
In a message to employees, CEO Doug Parker said imploding the old headquarters is a step toward building a bright future for the company.
“Sometimes, in order to move forward, you have to blow up the past and that’s what we are doing today,”
That’s a quote from this Airline Biz Blog piece about AA blowing up part of their old HQ to make room for the new HQ they plan to start building soon. And, here’s the actual video:
I’ve always enjoyed watching video of old stadiums being imploded. Don’t think I’ve ever had the opportunity to see a travel-related implosion, at least not a positive one.
