Yesterday was a great day in space exploration/innovation. When the US wound down their space program I was pretty bummed I never got to see a space shuttle launch in person. But, great things are starting to happen in the private sector. Whether you believe that private companies are better at innovating than the government, watching that rocket land yesterday was a pretty awesome thing. And a promise of more awesome things to come.

Cranky Flier got a chance to crawl around the new C-Series now that it’s fit for flying. I remember getting a chance to walk around inside some of the first frames of the Bombardier C-Series a number of years ago up in Canada. At the time, Bombardier had mockups of the cabin, seats, overhead bins and more. They promised a very comfortable experience and I was (and am) rooting for the success of this little plane that could.
